X-Culture: Off To A Good Start

As I got my list of team members for the semester-long X-Culture project, I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t apprehensive. Group projects can make you want to rip your hair out when your fellow members are in your own class, so I could only imagine how hard it might be to work internationally, especially with the added problems of time zones and English not being everyone’s first language.

It took a few days for everyone to finally get in touch with each other, but we’ve set up a Facebook group in order to keep in touch with each other, and I’m happy to say that my entire group seems to be very friendly. While a few of my group members are from the States, some of the others are from places like Scotland, India, and Mexico.

As long as time zones and lack of communication don’t wind up becoming issues, I think that we should have no problems putting together a successful project. I really look forward to getting to know them all better over the next few months.
