Johnson, Fequiere, Tamilio, Harrell and Vaughn Conclude Regular Season in Style

MELBOURNE, Fla. (women’s basketball) — #17 Florida Tech finished up their 2006-2007 regular season campaign with 22-5 overall record shutting down Johnson
and Wales (7-16) 74-49 during senior night at the Clemente Center.

Prior to the game, Florida Tech honored Arthur Jackson for his service to athletics for 22 years along with Coach Reynolds for his 20th anniversary as the
head coach of Florida Tech; currently holding a 376-199 career record leading his team as the 2007 Sunshine State Conference Champions.

The five senior Panthers members were honored in the their final home game of the year including Shante Johnson (Orlando, Fla.), Danise Fequiere (Miami,
Fla.), Jennifer Tamilio (Boston, Mass.), Kristina Harrell (Melbourne, Fla.) and Danielle Vaughn (Tallahassee, Fla.). The starting five, also the senior
class, combined for 50 of the 74 points for the game.

Tamilio ran away with the scoring finishing with 26 points going 7-for-12 from the field, 3-for-5 from the arc and 9-10 from the line. She also added six
rebounds, four assists and three steals. Fequiere pitched in seven points and five rebounds. Both Vaughn and Johnson chipped in six points apiece. Vaughn
pulled down five rebounds, four assists and three steals while Johnson three boards and two blocks.

Harrell had five points, four rebounds and two assists. Coming off the bench, juniors’ Kassie Crimi (Jordan, Min.) and Casselle Russell (Miami, Fla.)
combined for 15 of the 24 points off the bench. Crimi, with eight points went 3-for-6 from the field and chipped in two assists. Russell, tied with fellow
Miami native Fequiere, had seven points for the night.

All fourteen Panthers saw time on the Clemente Center court tonight for their final home stand. Florida Tech committed 17 turnovers to the Wildcats’ 24 for
the forty minutes of play. The Crimson and Gray scored 33 points in the first half and came back to add 41 in the second; while Johnson & Wales only
managed 16 points before halftime and pushed ahead tying Tech for their first half finish with 33 in the final twenty minutes of play.

Tech shot 37.1% for the game and 35.7% from downtown while having a slightly rough time from the charity stripe finishing with a 56.1% going 23-for 41
attempts.

After tonight, All SSC games have concluded and Tech will be the #2 seed for the 2007 SSC Women’s Basketball Tournament after tying with Rollins for the
regular season title. Rollins holding the advantage in the tiebreaker will be the #1 seed. Florida Tech will face #7 Florida Southern on Thursday, March
1st at 2:30 p.m. in the quarterfinal rounds in Boca Raton hosted by Lynn University.

The Panthers moved up the #17 spot in the WBCA national poll this past week and still hold onto the #3
spot in the NCAA DII South Region Poll.
