X-Culture: Laying the Foundation

When I initially heard about the X-Culture project I was skeptical. Many friends of mine had discussed in great detail some of the situations that arose during the project; stories such as missing deadlines, members that never showed or did any work, and sometimes of lack of motivation from their peers to work. Those things said, I was actually quite satisfied when I got to talk to my group-mates for the first time. Most show plenty of enthusiasm and what seemed to be genuine care for this project. Our ability to quickly communicate both over email and social media also has benefited our ability to get the initial foundation for our success as a team laid. I look forward both to gaining new friends from across the globe as well as being exposed to something that will broaden my horizons.
