X-Culture Project: A Perfect Team

Guest Blogger: Donald Swade, Nathan M. Bisk College of Business student

The X-Culture project has come to an end, almost abruptly. It seemed to go by so fast. Such is the nature of deadlines! My team worked very well together and I’m extremely happy with the results.

I came into this project optimistic yet ready to expect problems. I was very surprised when this project went far easier than anticipated. Everyone involved was actively participating with a positive attitude. I’d almost call it a picture-perfect project team. Everyone played to their strengths and the result was, in my opinion, a very strong business proposal.

In the end I took away a very valuable lesson: that international cooperation can be very simple and easy when everyone involved is engaged. I had to take a leadership role in the beginning to give the initial push and get everyone started, but once we started we didn’t stop. I’m proud of the work we’ve done and the people I worked with. It was certainly a capstone experience for my graduating semester.
