Chopper Dropper Hovers

Suntree Country Club

The annual Sporting Affair/Chopper Dropper happens March 15, starting at 5:30 p.m., and once again, it will be at the Suntree Country Club.

Still thinking about buying your Chopper Dropper Ticket? Have you considered pitching in on your chance to win with a co-worker? Every Chopper Dropper ticket comes with a single wristband for entry to the Sporting Affair Cocktail Reception. However, for Florida Tech staff or faculty who buy their ticket on or before Monday, March 4, the purchase will include an extra wristband.

This offer is also good for faculty and staff who have already bought their Chopper Dropper tickets. Share a chance at the prize money and the fun! If purchasing your ticket online, make sure you note “Florida Tech employee” in the Comments box.

The Grand Prize has doubled to $50,000 and there will be four more winners than last year—from 13 to 17—and 500 less golf balls will be on sale, boosting the chances for ticket holders. Only 2,000 golf balls will be sold, making the odds 1 in 118 that someone will win one of the cash prizes.

For the first time, outside vendors will serve food at the reception. The Broken Barrel Tavern, Matt’s Casbah and Carrabba’s will provide their specialties and Jersey Mike’s will be making sandwiches at lunchtime for the golfers. All proceeds go towards scholarships for our student-athletes.

Tickets are available at www.chopperdropper.com. Contact Christiana Greene at extension 8428 or email cgreene@fit.edu to schedule a time to pick-up your extra wristband.
