December Recap

by Philina Richardson

December begins here at Evans Library with a bang, and ends on a whisper. We began the month with Extended Hours and finals, and closed it out with a very quiet break week. As we end our brief respite and begin the spring semester, let’s look back at what happened during the last days of 2014, and look forward to what the New Year will bring.

Extended Hours

Extended hours were a huge hit, as usual, with students staying with us until the wee hours.

Oh.

And there were donuts.

Donuuuuuuuuts.
Donuuuuuuuuts.

Piles and piles of donuts.

That's a lot of boxes.

Doggies!

This semester, User Experience Specialist Lisa Petrillo organized a special therapy dog event for students during finals week. Interaction with animals (like dogs), has been shown to produce the hormone oxytocin and reduce stress, something that every student can appreciate during finals.  The event was a huge success, with both humans and dogs enjoying every minute.

Happy doggies, and happy students.

And finally, the break

After an action packed semester, we ended the year in our own unique way.
