Shubham Desai, who comes to Florida Tech from Mauritius, is a senior majoring in Civil Engineering. Shubham has completed three prior co-ops and is now completing his fourth at Mastellar and Moler, a civil engineering firm located in Vero Beach. There, he assists professional engineers in providing civil engineering services and project management. The most valuable thing he has learned from his co-op experiences is that communication and leadership skills are extremely important. His favorite part of his co-op job is contributing to construction projects and seeing those projects being built with the help of his input. In the future, Shubham would like to become a professional civil engineer and own his own consulting firm. His advice to students looking for co-op or work experience: network!
