String Orchestra Concert (11/27/2018)

The String Orchestra will present “Norwegian Expedition” on November 27th, 2018 at 7pm in the Gleason Performing Arts Center. This concert will be FREE and open to the public.

The String Orchestra is bigger and mightier than ever before! It is only fitting to take on some of the amazing music written by Norwegian, Danish, and Swedish composers for this fantastic concert. Our centerpiece is the famous Holberg Suite by Edward Elgar. Most orchestras pick and choose a few movements of this work, but we are doing it from start to finish! You will also be dazzled by our gigantic cello section as they play a special arrangement for cellos only. We plan to blow away the audience with some fun viking themed pieces on our way to Valhalla.
