Dr. Sohair Wastawy and the staff of Evans Library invite you to join us Tuesday, April 29, any time between 10 am and 2 pm, for Vision Extraordinaire: The History of Florida Institute of Technology, an inaugural exhibit of the Harry P. Weber University Archives.
In 1958, Jerome Keuper founded Brevard Engineering College, which eventually became Florida Institute of Technology. In its short 55 years of existence, Florida Tech has grown into a thriving university with a rich history, documented in our Florida Tech Historical Timeline.
Come find yourself in our mosaic of student photos, take a look at the basketball from Florida Tech’s first game and win against Stetson, see a Brevard Engineering College ring, and learn about the “Melbourne Mammoth” which was excavated from our campus.
These and many other artifacts will be on display in the new archives room on the first floor of the Evans Library. We will see you there!
