Researchers who wish to track their citation activity can easily do so, using Science Citation Index Expanded from Web of Science.

First, log on to Web of Science with your TRACKS information and click the Author Finder link near the top of the tab. Enter your last name and first initial, and then click Search by Name.

Look for authors at your own institution.

You will likely see lots of authors listed, some of whom may not be you! Narrow down your results quickly using the Refine the Author Set menu on the left side of the window. Here, you can click the arrow beside Author and Coauthor Institutions, and then, if you do not see your institution here, click the more options/values link.

Check the box beside FLORIDA INST TECHNOL, and click Refine. Now you are viewing only authors from Florida Tech — are you there?

Select your records (or check the box beside Select Page to choose them all) and click View Records, and then click the Create Citation Report link at the top right of the results list.

Your citation report includes a summary of published items and citations by year, a sum of times cited, and citing articles as well as other reports and options for sorting results.
