Animal Farm, by George Orwell

My first banned book was Animal Farm. It was banned in Egypt, but I managed to get a copy.

It is no longer banned. I was in middle school then, so it was my first little adventure with banned books. After I read it, I had no idea why it was banned. Later, I knew it was the talking pig!

I just couldn’t believe how stupid the reason was and began hunting banned books for a hobby.
