Florida Tech Alum Named Airport Professional of the Year

The southeast chapter of the American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE) has honored Florida Tech alum and Southwest Florida International Airport and Page Field Executive Director Robert M. Ball, A.A.E, as the 2011 Airport Professional of the Year at their annual conference in Mobile, Alabama. Mr. Ball holds a bachelor’s degree in air commerce from Florida Tech and serves on the Florida Tech Alumni Association Board of Directors.

He is accredited by the American Association of Airport Executives. He is a past president of Florida Airports Council (FAC) and serves on its board of directors. Ball was honored by the Federal Aviation Administration as the 1998 Airport Manager of the Year for the Southern Region and by the Florida Department of Transportation as the 2009 Aviation Professional of the Year.
