Unplugging – You Can Do This!

It’s funny – we’ve all become so incredibly dependent upon our electronic devices today. I’m guilty too – checking my email before breakfast, after dinner, on the weekends, on vacation… how are we ever supposed to live a balanced life when we are tethered to these electronics?

“But I need to check my email.” No you don’t. It wasn’t that long ago that the expectation in business was any communication after 5:00 p.m. would be returned the next business day, likely after 9:00 a.m. We’ve put this pressure on ourselves – simply because the technology is now available for 24/7 communication. Yet, we are in charge of our own time management and only we can be the ones to draw a line in the sand regarding when we will and won’t be available for business.
