Unplugging – You Can Do This!

It’s funny – we’ve all become so incredibly dependent upon our electronic devices today. I’m guilty too – checking my email before breakfast, after dinner, on the weekends, on vacation… how are we ever supposed to live a balanced life when we are tethered to these electronics?

“But I need to check my email.” No you don’t. It wasn’t that long ago that the expectation in business was any communication after 5:00 p.m. would be returned the next business day, likely after 9:00 a.m. We’ve put this pressure on ourselves – simply because the technology is now available for 24/7 communication. Yet, we are in charge of our own time management and only we can be the ones to draw a line in the sand regarding when we will and won’t be available for business.

This week, local business owner and counselor Kristin Woodling talks us all through how to do this. The key is managing the expectations of those you communicate with. Good luck! You can do this! (CLICK HERE to read more)
